Outreach Expression of InterestThe NSW Rural Doctors Network administers a number of outreach programs on behalf of the Australian Department of Health and Ageing. The aim of these programs is to improve access to medical specialist and multidisciplinary services for rural and remote communities, and those with significant Aboriginal populations. This is accomplished through the development and support of outreach clinics, and by building the capacity of the rural health workforce through up-skilling. Specialists, GPs and allied health practitioners participating in the scheme are eligible to claim for some of the costs associated with travel, accommodation and facility hire. Remuneration for many outreach practitioners is derived from billings or a salary arrangement can be made for some professions and circumstances. Most of RDN's outreach services are located at GP rooms or Aboriginal Medical Services. If you would like to be involved in rural and remote outreach, please express your interest by completing the form below. RDN will treat your information as confidential and will be in touch with you regarding available outreach vacancies. |
